Cell Replacement Therapies

Cell Replacement Therapies

Cell replacement therapy has applications in a large number of disorders. The most important are diseases of the nervous system, cancer, cardiac disorders (myocardial infarction and heart failure), diabetes mellitus, diseases of bones and joints, genetic disorders, and wounds of the skin and soft tissues.

CSC's primary therapeutic programs include:

Motor Neurons

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

  • Type 1 Infantile Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)

  • In this synergistic series of motor neuron programs, results from pre-clinical and clinical development will be cross-applicable to all indications. Entry into the clinic will be sought first for the indication with the lowest barrier to clinical entry (pediatric SMA), with relevant safety and efficacy data contributing to the development and approval of the more complex treatments (ALS, SCI).
